Full Meaning of Mudhaariyb
Mudhaariyb is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “striker”, “fierce attacker”. It is the name of one of the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet ﷺ), whose full name is Mudhaariyb bin Zaid. Mudhaariyb is derived from the DHAD-R-B root which is used in many places in the Quran.
And [recall] when Moses prayed for water for his people, so We said, “Strike with your staff the stone.” And there gushed forth from it twelve springs, and every people knew its watering place. “Eat and drink from the provision of Allah , and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.” (Quran 2:60)
