Full Meaning of Sa’ad
Sa’ad is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “happiness”, “blessedness”. It is the name of many famous companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his companions, such as Sa’ad ibn Muadh, Sa’ad bin Ubadah, Sa’ad ibn Abi Waqqas. It is derived from the S-Ain-D root which is used in many places in the Quran.
The day it arrives, no soul shall speak except by His leave: of those (gathered) some will be wretched and some will be blessed. (Quran 11:105)
