Full Meaning of Eilhaan
Eilhaan is an indirect Quranic name for boys and girls that means to eloquently state something, to say something beautifully, to have a beautiful voice, and to read Quran in a beautiful voice. It is derived from the L-H6-N (tone) root which is used in the Quran in Surat Muhammad:
And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds. (Quran 47:30)
Eilhaan can also be derived from the L-H26-N (gift) root with the meaning “to give a gift to someone who has arrived from a journey.” This root is not Quranic, for this reason if you want to keep the Quranic connection, use the meaning mentioned earlier at the top.
