Ammat al-Nafi is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “servant of al-Naafe“, al-Naafe being one of the names of Allah subhanahu wa taala, that means “the beneficent”, “the source of blessings”. Thus the meaning is “servant of Allah”. Ammat al-Nafi is the feminine version of the boy name Abdul Naafe. The word Naafe is an indirect Quranic word, as it is derived from the N-F-AIN root which is used in a number of places in the Quran.
We sent Our messengers with evidence and, with them, We sent down the Book and the Scales of Justice, so that men might act in all fairness. We sent down iron with its great inherent strength and its many benefits for mankind, so that God might know who would stand up for God, though unseen, and His messengers. God is powerful, and almighty. (Quran 57:25)
