Full Meaning of Aaseyeh
Aaseyeh is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “pensive”, “wistful” and “melancholic”. It is the name of the pious wife of the Pharaoh, Aaseyeh bint Muzahim, who lived at the time of Prophet Musa/Moses, as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari and Muslim. It is derived from the A-S-A root which is used in a number of places in the Quran. Since Aaseyeh is an ancient name, it is possible that it has other meanings in pre-Arabian languages.
So he turned away from them, saying, ‘My people, I delivered my Lord’s messages to you and gave you sincere advice, so why should I grieve for people who refused to believe?’ (Quran 7:93)
so that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant over what you have gained. God loves neither the conceited nor the boastful (Quran 57:23)
