Full Meaning of Aane

Aane is a Quranic name for girls that means “time”, “occasion”, “now”, “this moment”. It is derived from the A-Y-N root which is used in many places in the Quran.

Said [the king to the women], “What was your condition when you sought to seduce Joseph?” They said, “Perfect is Allah ! We know about him no evil.” The wife of al-‘Azeez said, “Now the truth has become evident. It was I who sought to seduce him, and indeed, he is of the truthful. (Quran 12:51)

They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: what time is its arrival? Say, “Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly.” They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, “Its knowledge is only with Allah , but most of the people do not know.” (Quran 7:187)
