Full Meaning of Amien
Ameen or Amin means someone who is “trusted“, “loyal“, “faithful” and “honorable“. It is derived from the أ م ن (ʾ–m–n) root which is the source of various words that mean safety, security, trust, faithfulness, and honesty.
Before his prophethood, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known by the title “الصادق الأمين” (As-Ṣādiq al-Amīn: The Truthful and Trustworthy) in Mecca because of his impeccable moral character. Naming a child Ameen can show love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ since it is one of his titles.
