Full Meaning of Anfah
Anfah is an indirect Quranic name for boys and girls that means “self-respect” and “dignity”. The root of this name is A-N-F (which means “now” and “nose”, among other meanings), used in the Quran in Surat Muhammad:
Now among those [hapless sinners] are such as [pretend to] listen to thee, [O Muhammad,] and then, as soon as they leave thy presence, speak [with scorn] unto those who have understood [thy message]: “What is it that he has said just now?” It is such as these whose hearts God has sealed because they [always] followed but their own lusts. (Quran 47:16)
Anfah is also a Berber (from the Morocco area) word meaning “top”. This meaning can be used as a name to, but it might not derive from the Quran.
