Aphraa is variant of Afraa and has the exact same meaning and pronunciation (see below for full meaning). You can use either Aphraa or Afraa, both are correct and acceptable. Full Meaning of Aphraa
Aphraa is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “white”, “fair”, “13th night of the lunar month” (on which the moon is almost full and thus its white light is shining brightly), “female gazelle that with white patches of fur”. Aphraa is the name of two Sahabiyaat (virtuous women who lived at the time of the Prophet ﷺ) that we know of, whose full names were Aphraa bint Ubaid bin Thaalaba and Aphraa bint as-Sakn bin Raafi. It is derived from the AIN-F-R AIN-F-R (“dust”, “power”, etc.) root which is used in the Quran in verse 27:39.
A powerful one from among the jinn said, “I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy.” (Quran 27:39)
