Full Meaning of Aphrah
Aphrah is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means joy, happiness, delight. It is derived from the F-R-H6 root which is used in many places in the Quran:
they are joyful because of what God has bestowed on them of His grace. And they rejoice in the glad tiding given to those they left behind, that they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve. They rejoice in a Grace and a Bounty from Allah, and that Allah will not waste the reward of the believers. (Quran 3:170-171)
Those to whom We sent the Scriptures (the Christians and Jews) are delighted by what has been revealed to you, while some factions deny parts of it. Say to them, ‘I have been commanded only to worship God and not to associate partners with Him: to Him I pray and to Him I shall return.’ (Quran 13:36)
