Meaning of girl name Alya

1) I would like to know the meaning of Alya (pronounced as al-ya). Is the meaning of Alya the same as Aliya?

2) If so, from your website Aliya means Sublime, Exalted, High status – islamically can I name my daughter with such meaning?

3) I was thinking of combining two names for my daughter, i.e. Nur Alya or Nur Aliya. I do not speak nor write Arabic, so does the full name make sense?
