  • in reply to: Twin name/ Different meaning Query #119544

    Hashmat

Assalamoalaikum, I would like to name my daughter Nuha Haya or Nuha Ahnaf Nuha Anum. As both names have good but completely different meaning, My query is, Does twin name with completely different meaning change the overall meaning of the name. Please Advise… Jazakum Allah Khair.

  • in reply to: inayah #119589

    Alaikumassalam wa rahmatullah,

For the pronunciation of Inayah, which can also be written as Inaya please see: Inaya.

We do not know any person in history with this name. Inayah Noor will not create a new meaning, but if Inayah al-Noor means “the protection given by light”, and since al-Noor is one of the names of Allah SWT, it would mean “God’s care and protection”. Inaya al-Noor can also be written as Inayatun Nur, Inayat Un Noor or Inayatul Noor.

  • in reply to: baby name AYELEEN #119592

Ayeleen is probably another spelling of Aileen, which means “halo of the moon”. For more information see: Aileen. It is acceptable for Muslims since it has a good meaning.

  • in reply to: ZOEYA WITH A D OR Z #119593

Both are acceptable. In reality, the name starts neither with Z or D, but with Dhad, which cannot be written in English.

  • in reply to: Naming my baby girl #119594

Yes you can. Riyaah is another spelling of Reyah. For its details see: Reyah

  • in reply to: baby girl name #119595

Choose any name that is liked by the families of the baby’s father and mother.

  • in reply to: name #119597

It might be another spelling of Lu`bah, which means “plaything”, “game”, “toy”. According to a fabricated hadith, it is the name of one of the houris of Paradise. But since it is a fabricated (non-authentic) hadith, it cannot be trusted. However, the name itself is not a bad name and you can keep it as your daughter’s name.

  • in reply to: Kenzo #119598

Kenzo can be the Moroccan tamleeh (pet form) of Kanz, and would have the same meaning as Kanz.

  • in reply to: can you pls help #119599

If you pronounce it as Aayaan, it is a Persian name and has no relationship with the Arabic name Ayan which means “when”, “what time”.

  • in reply to: which name is the best for my daughter ..Zirwa or Umaiza #119600

We have no information on Zarwa. As for Zirwa please see: Zirwa

Sheraz or Shiraz is the name of a city in Iran. In common Persian usage it means “strained yogurt”, a creamy type of yogurt that is less watery than the usual kind.

Zirwa Sheraz is an acceptable name. Zirwa can also be written as Zerwa. As for Umaiza, we have no information on it.

  • in reply to: Twins Names – adding Kunya #119601

You can use those names, though they are not grammatical. To make it grammatical, it would have to be Aynul Anum and Aynul Inaaya. But you can use Aynun since it is not required for names to be grammatically sound.

  • in reply to: Twin name/ Different meaning Query #119602
