    Assalam o Alaikum!
    I want to select arabic name Aleeza for my daughter. My questions are;
    1. Is Aleeza an indirect Quranic name?
    2. What is the authentic meaning of Aleeza?

Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.
    Jazak Allah Alkhair.

    Assalamu Alikum,
Is there any problem in naming my baby boy “Aadil Ihsan” ? I have been told that Ihsan is a verb and not a noun. While naming, should we need to consider whether its a noun or verb?
I have come across many people with the name Aadil Ihsan and I have named my boy like that.

  • in reply to: adih #113663

    Alaikumassalam wa rahmatullah,

Unfortunately we do not have any information on such a name.

  • in reply to: Aadil Ihsan #113664

    Alaikumassalam wa rahmatullah,

There is no problem with the name Aadil Ihsan. There is no problem with using verbs as names. Additionally, Ihsan is not a verb, it is a noun that refers to a concept, similar to Ikhlas and Iman.

  • in reply to: Name #113665

Aarib means “winner” as explained on our site. It is not a direct Quranic name therefore it is not mentioned anywhere in the Quran, its root only is mentioned. Please type it in the search box for more information. Aarib Zeeshan is an acceptable name.

  • in reply to: Name #113666

Mahveen is a Persian name from the words Mah (“moon”) and veen (“to see”), creating the meaning of “one who looks like the moon when you look at her”, thus meaning “extremely beautiful”.

It is a good name and you can use it insha’Allah.

  • in reply to: IS "zunairah Rahman" a good name? #113677

Yes it is a good name. You can read its details here: Zunairah

  • in reply to: Baby Girl Name #113679

    Alaikumassalam wa rahmatullah,

Both are acceptable. You can choose the one that is liked more by the girl’s family and relatives.

  • in reply to: Binyamin – > Yusuf (AS) brother #113680

    Alaikumassalam wa rahmatullah,

Binyamin, which is written as Benjamin in English, is a Hebrew name and there are multiple opinions on its mean, such as “son of my days”, “son of the south”, “son of the right side” and “spirit man”. These are acceptable meanings, therefore Binyamin and Benjamin are acceptable names for a Muslim child.

  • in reply to: appropriate and meaningful name…help!!! #113681

Rahman shouldn’t be kept as a first name since it means “God”. Ashir is an acceptable name. As for Daiyaan, I am not sure what name this is, please provide another spelling.

  • in reply to: Second name with Afnan #113683

Kashif means “discoverer”, “uncoverer”. It is an acceptable name, but we haven’t heard of a door of Jannah with such a name. Afnan Zayyan is acceptable.
