Full Meaning of Hachime
Hachime is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “breaker”, “brave destroyer of evil”. It is the name of the great ancestor Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him, and Prophet Muhammad’s clan (Banu Hachime) comes from him. He is Hachime bin Abd Manaf, father of Abdul Mutallib. Abdul Mutallib was grandfather of the Prophet.
Hachime is derived from the H26-SH-M root which is used in Surat al-Kahf in the Quran:
And set forth to them parable of the life of this world: like water which We send down from the cloud so the herbage of the earth becomes tangled on account of it, then it becomes dry, broken into pieces which the winds scatter; and Allah is the holder of power over all things. (Quran 18:45)
