Hygreh is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “to leave”, “to avoid”, and it refers to leaving or avoiding something for the sake of Allah. It commonly refers to the historical event in which the Muslims left their homes in Makkah to go to the city of al-Madinah. Hygreh is derived from the H26-J-R Quranic root.
