i like name Arham for my son but arham means very merciful or reham kerney wala .but most merciful is only ALLAH .is Muhammad Arham illahi is perfect name .plz guide me
Answer
This is an official answer by QuranicNames.com Staff
There is no issue with using the name Arham. Even the name Muhammad means "most praiseworthy" and there is no issue with using it. Allah uses some of His own names to describe humans, for example Raoof (sympathetic) and Raheem (very merciful) when describing Prophet Muhammad and Haleem (very forbearing) when describing Prophet Ibraheem.
The only problem is if you put "al-" in front of the name, such as Al-Raheem, then it becomes unacceptable for humans.

Asaalamualikum,
Excuse me, @admin. Respectfully. If you translate Ar-ham, “Ar” = THE and “Ham” is derived from word RHAM. meaning merciful. SO the word then become “THE MOST MERCIFUL”. Technically speaking you shouldn’t name someone ARHAM.
