I loved the name Liyana but I can't find it anywhere in the Quran which means softness/ tenderness. is it ok if I choose a name for my baby out of the quranic text as long as the meaning is good and sensible?

Liyana itself is not mentioned in the Quran but two words closely related to it and derived from the same root are mentioned in the Quran, for this reason you can consider Liyana a Quranic name as well..
