Sybil or Sibyl is a Western name that means "pagan female oracle", a woman in ancient times who was considered to be a seer (one who sees the future). This is not a good meaning, for this reason it is not recommended to use this name with this meaning.
However, Sybil can also be used as an alternative for the Islamic name Sabeel, which means "path", "way of life", which is a good meaning. In this way the name is acceptable.
