Assalamualaikum...can u please tell me the meaning and origin of name zohair.......I read online as friend of prophet Muhammad sallallahunalaihi wasallam....but I did not come across any Sahaba name as zohair in seer at un nabi....can u please put some light on this..can one keep this name for a boy..

Zuhair is the name of many Sahabis (companions of the Prophet ﷺ), such as Zuhair al-Anmari, Zuhair bin Abi Umayyah and Zuhair bin al-Harith bin Awf.
Zuhair has a good meaning so you can use it for a Muslim child.
