I am looking for the meanings of the following baby girl names: Zafeerah, Safreen, Areena, Azmeen, Nuryn & Shiza. Are these Quranic name or has roots in Quran? Thanks!
Answer
For Zafeeerah please see this page: Zafeera
I do not know of any Arabic or Persian name that sounds like Safreen and I cannot find any information on this name on in trustworthy sources.
Areen, Areeena, Aarin, Aarina, Aroon, and Aroona are non-Quranic Arabic words that mean "active", "happy". Since they have good meanings Muslims can use them. Those ending with an a can only be used to name girls, the rest can be used for boys and girls. Areena is pronounced as [(U)nder] + [p(R)ay + m(EE)t] + [(NU)mber]. The ending can also be pronounced with a long "a", as in the m(A)n, if you like.
I do not know of any Arabic name that sounds like Azmeen.
Nuryn is another spelling of Nureen, you can see its details here: Nureen
For Shiza please see this answer: Is Sheza an Islamic name?
