Raede is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “leader”, “pioneer”, “guide”, “pathfinder”. It is derived from the R-W-D root (to be ahead, to not hurry, to persuade or seduce, gentleness of a breeze, willpower), which is used in many places in the Quran.
So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. (Quran 86:17)
