Full Meaning of Shahire

Shahire is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “well-known”, “distinguished”, “eminent”. It is derived from the SH-H26-R (moon, month, clarity) root which is used in many places in the Quran.

AND UNTO Solomon [We made subservient] the wind: its morning course [covered the distance of] a month’s journey, and its evening course, a month’s journey. (Quran 34:12)
