Apparently it also means companion, friend and partner and someone who is a humanitarian and generous individual. And my name is Shariq but I’d be quite disgusted if I was named after a false idol. But, it’s literally said in the Qur’an meaning the sun that rises from the east and Sharika meaning partner.
