My father’s name, may God rest his soul, was ‘Deeb’ which means as mentioned above ‘ Wolf’. When we raised this question among my family, they told us that my grandfather had two babies, through Two consecutive pregnancies, who only lived for a month. Then she was advised to call the baby after an animal name. And this what she did. She named her baby ‘ Deeb’ and it was my father. May God bless his soul.
