Sohaib and Sohaiba, also spelled Suhaib and Suhaiba, are Arabic names that means "one who has reddish-brown hair". Suhaib is a common name among Muslims out of love for Suhaib bin Sinan, a companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his companions.

Suhaib and Suhaiba are not Quranic names, but since the meaning is good Muslim can use them. Suhaib is prononounced as [(S)weet + p(U)t] + [(HAY) + (B)oy]. Suhaiba is pronounced as [(S)weet + p(U)t] + [(HAY)] + [(BU)tterfly].
