Yazan, pronounced as (YA)rn + (Z)oom + y(A)r(N), is a Farsi word that means resolved, determined. It is not an Arabic/Quranic word, but since the meaning is good you can use it. It seems to be mostly used for boys, but some people use it for girls as well.
Yazan, pronounced the same as above, is also a Turkish name for boys, some sites say it means "writer", but I cannot verify this.

Yazan in Turkish means “the one who writes (or the one who has written)” to be exact – but could also mean a “writer” indirectly
